Refrigerated vs desiccant — which dryer do I need?

Refrigerated dryers (~38°F dew point) cover most general manufacturing, automotive, and shop air. Desiccant dryers (-40°F or lower) are needed for paint booths, pneumatic instruments, outdoor lines, or anywhere freezing is a risk.

Why is water still showing up in my air lines?

Common causes: undersized dryer, failed refrigerant charge, clogged condensate drain, or a saturated desiccant bed. We diagnose all of the above and verify with a dew-point reading.

Can you replace my old dryer with a new Kaeser unit?

Yes — we handle the full swap including bypass piping, drains, and electrical. Most refrigerated dryer replacements are completed in a single shift.

How often does a desiccant dryer need its bed replaced?

Typically every 3–5 years, depending on inlet conditions and prefilter health. We carry Kaeser-spec desiccant and perform on-site changeouts.
